GOING ON A DATE WITH YOURSELF

This 2-hour workshop invites adults and/or older youth to explore their own emotions and experiences through creative writing as a pathway to self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and well-being. Using prompts, journaling, poetry, and imaginative techniques, participants engage in self-expression that supports reflection, healing, and personal growth—especially for those who may struggle to speak their truth aloud. This safe and expressive space fosters deeper understanding of self, builds social-emotional skills, and strengthens connections with others. It’s a powerful, transformative journey toward greater mental and emotional wellness.

SCRIPT FOR WELLNESS

This 4 to 6-hour training of trainer’s model is intended to engage educators and wellness lovers in experiencing first-hand what their students/participants will experience. In the first portion of the training, participants will walk through the creative writing and healing activities themselves.* In the second portion of the training, participants learn strategies, writing tips, and how these exercises connect to emotional intelligence and wellness for youth suffering from low self-esteem, self-harm, trauma, and anxiety-related behaviors.

* All participants receive a facilitator guide filled with over 20 hours of writing exercises!

All workshops are custom-designed based on your community and needs. School groups, youth serving organizations, educators and staff may also request ongoing coaching. Just ask us!

PLEASE NOTE: It is suggested that when implementing kid-grit programming that staff, parents, and administration participate in as many professional development opportunities as possible. This is to increase the chances of success in creating a positive school climate that is inclusive of the entire community. In most circumstances, we will NOT sell any of the guides without training and support for your staff. Emotional intelligence and life skills programs work best when training and coaching are embedded into the implementation process.
