NSLA Recap: Optimism in a Time of Change
How do you top a phenomenal event from 2023? Well, ask the folks over at the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA).
The After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles (ASAS-LA) serves over 23,000 youth across 72 K-12 schools, fostering social, emotional, and academic growth. Expanded learning programs play a vital role in supporting underserved students, and we’re proud to be part of this mission.
ASAS-LA In Person Training
Since 2019, ASAS-LA has integrated kid-grit’s Foundational Life Skills Curriculum into their programming, and since 2020, we have proudly served as their professional learning partners. Four years of collaboration reflect a deep commitment to trust, innovation, and thoughtful planning.
Taking this work even further, ASAS-LA is now bringing our Writing for Wellness Program to high school students—harnessing the power of creative writing to support mental wellness and self-expression.
We are deeply grateful for partnerships like these. Our work would not be possible without educational organizations that share our vision for supporting staff, administrators, students, and families. To our friends at ASAS-LA, keep shining bright! The Los Angeles community needs you!
